Peer Evaluator Recognition Program

Thank You to Our Peer Evaluators!
ACEN's accreditation process depends on the dedication of volunteer peer evaluators who contribute their time, knowledge, and expertise in support of nursing education. The Peer Evaluator Recognition Program reflects ACEN's appreciation for these contributions and celebrates the individuals whose service helps strengthen nursing programs, support student success, and advance excellence in nursing education.

Peer evaluators play a vital role in the accreditation process. Through their expertise, professional judgment, and commitment to service, peer evaluators help ensure the quality and integrity of nursing education programs.

To recognize these important contributions, ACEN established the Peer Evaluator Recognition Program.

The program honors peer evaluators for their service and leadership within the accreditation process through a series of digital recognition badges that acknowledge meaningful volunteer contributions and professional engagement.

Recognition and Visibility

Digital badges issued through the Peer Evaluator Recognition Program provide a verifiable record of service and accomplishment.

Recipients may choose to:

  • Share badges on professional networking platforms
  • Add badges to email signatures
  • Include badges in professional portfolios and curriculum vitae
  • Download and retain badges for their records

In addition, earned badges are displayed alongside peer evaluator profiles in the ACEN Program Directory, providing visible recognition of service, experience, and leadership within the accreditation process.

How Badges Are Awarded

Badges are awarded automatically based on documented peer evaluator service and participation maintained by ACEN. As peer evaluators reach eligible service milestones or complete qualifying activities, badges are issued through ACEN's digital credentialing platform, Certifier. No application or self-reporting is required.

Peer evaluators who qualify for a badge will receive an email notification with instructions for accessing, sharing, and downloading their credential.
