
Dr. Jenny Fields, DNP, RN, has more than 25 years of experience in nursing, nursing education, and academic leadership, with a career focused on associate degree nursing and community college–based health professions education. She currently serves as Dean of the School of Health Sciences at Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she provides strategic and operational oversight for nursing and allied health programs serving more than 1,300 students annually.Dr. Fields has been actively involved with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) since 2020 and currently serves as a Peer Evaluator, Site Visit Team Chair, and Evaluation Review Panel (ERP) member. Through this work, she has participated in accreditation reviews across a range of nursing program types and institutional contexts, supporting consistent application of standards, outcomes assessment, and continuous quality improvement. In her institutional leadership roles, she has led multiple successful accreditation cycles and provides executive oversight of multiple accredited healthcare programs, coordinating compliance across institutional, programmatic, and clinical partners.Her academic preparation includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Samford University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, along with Associate degrees in nursing and pre-nursing. She has held progressive leadership roles including Dean of Nursing, faculty department chair, program coordinator, and assistant professor, with responsibility for accreditation, budgeting, faculty development, and workforce-aligned program expansion. As a community college graduate, Dr. Fields brings a practitioner-informed perspective on access, affordability, and workforce-focused nursing education.Dr. Fields’ leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and accountability in nursing education. She is committed to advancing the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing’s (ACEN’s) mission and supporting high-quality, accessible nursing programs nationwide. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, especially to the beach, and spending time with her husband and their two sons.
