April is National Volunteer Month, and April 21-27, 2024, is National Volunteer Appreciation Week.

This week, and every week, the ACEN is expressing its gratitude for the service of its community of volunteers, ACEN Peer Evaluators.

ACEN accreditation is a peer-review process, which means it is powered by our Peer Evaluators. ACEN Peer Evaluators are familiar with contemporary practices in various program types and receive training from the ACEN to make informed recommendations about a program’s compliance with the ACEN Standards and Criteria.

The ACEN reviews nearly 250 nursing education programs each year, which would not be possible without the expertise, time, and dedication of our volunteers.

Please join us in thanking our 800+ volunteers for their invaluable contributions to the quality of nursing education and the nursing profession!
