Re:         Additional Revision of ACEN Policy #3

Per ACEN Policy #11, ACEN is providing notice of proposed additional revisions to Policy #3. Interested parties have the opportunity to offer comments from May 23, 2017 to June 23, 2017.

The proposed additional revisions are based on the following rationale:

  1. The additional revisions of Policy #3 was triggered, in-part, by comments made shortly after the initial public comment period that began on April 20, 2017.
  2. The additional revisions align the requirement for institutional accreditation related to practical programs in all settings with the institutional accreditation requirements of all other types of nursing programs.
  3. The additional revisions eliminates the redundant listing of the institutional accrediting agencies recognized by the ACEN.
