Anne Freitas currently serves as tenured faculty at Kent State University working in both the Baccalaureate and Associate Degree programs. In this role she teaches online, in the classroom and in clinical settings. Anne’s Quality Matter’s certificate and ongoing online continuing education aid her in providing timely online instruction. She loves teaching and has committed herself to the development of her students, fellow faculty and herself in the face of ongoing changes in health care and education.  Her nationally conducted doctoral research focused on the cost and benefit of accreditation providing nursing education leaders with the data they need to prepare for and defend accreditation processes. The results were presented at the International Sigma Theta Tau conference in Vienna, Austria. Anne is an Ohio League for Nursing Board member at large and a Board member at large for the Northeast Chapter as well. She has experience as a faculty member and administrator. Anne has served ACEN for many years as a team leader and team member. She has encouraged many people on her team and on her visits to engage and participate in the ACEN process.
