The following publicly available information is provided by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) concerning the accreditation status of the following transition-to-practice programs reviewed by the ACEN Board of Commissioners during its meeting in February 2023. Commission staff will not speculate on what decision might be made by the ACEN Board of Commissioners the next time a transition-to-practice program is reviewed. Definitions


Accreditation: A voluntary, peer-review, self-regulatory process by which non-governmental associations recognize educational institutions or transition-to-practice programs that have been found to meet or exceed standards and criteria for quality.

Accreditation, Contingent: An accreditation status in which the transition-to-practice program meets most, but not all, of the established standards and criteria for quality.
