Registration is now open for the Fall 2023 Self-Study Forums (SSF) as well as the Fall 2023 Program Administrator Workshop (PAW). Each event takes place in Atlanta, GA, at the JW Marriott Buckhead. The SSF will have two offerings in-person on October 23-24 and October 26-27, 2023. The forum will also be streamed live for virtual participation during the October 26-27, 2023, offering. The PAW will be offered in-person only on October 25, 2023.

Self-Study Forums

The Self-Study Forum is your opportunity to better understand the new 2023 ACEN Standards and Criteria. The 2023 Standards and Criteria become mandatory for all programs starting January 1, 2024, so we’re offering multiple opportunities for you to prepare on October 23-24 and October 26-27, 2023.

During this two-and-a-half-day workshop, the ACEN Directors will guide you through the peer review process using the 2023 Standards & Criteria. Specifically, the SSF focuses more on developing Self-Study Reports and Follow-Up Reports your nursing program could be required to write soon. An opportunity also exists to earn continuing education credits.

Program Administrators Workshop

For the Program Administrators Workshop, the ACEN’s target audience is anyone with administrative oversight of an ACEN-accredited program, an ACEN candidate program, or a nursing program thinking about pursuing ACEN accreditation. Typical attendees are nurse administrators and program coordinators of programs that are currently accredited by the ACEN with fewer than three years of experience in the role, with candidate status, or that have recently obtained ACEN accreditation. The PAW is different from the SSF; instead, it is more geared towards readying you in your administrative role, abiding by ACEN policy in your nursing program, and best practices to maintain your ACEN accreditation.
