Marsha J. Purcell, CAE
Marsha Purcell is recently retired from her role as Director of Membership and Program Development for the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) based in Washington, DC. In that role, she was directly responsible for membership and member relations programs. She also managed staff responsible for member-focused programs on rural health and safety, women in leadership, young farmers and ranchers, rural development, and, agricultural promotion and education. She chaired an internal working group on health care. Prior to her last position, she served as Managing Director of the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture.
Ms. Purcell holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Kentucky and she has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives. In addition, she is past president of the International Society for Agricultural Safety and Health and still serves on the board of the society.
